Warranty Watchdog — Privacy Policy

Warranty Watchdog ("the app") is made by Ignis Algos Inc. ("we", "us"). The app's whole point is privacy: your purchase history is nobody's business but yours, so the app is local-first by design.
Your data stays on your device
Everything you put into Warranty Watchdog — items, stores, purchase dates, warranty lengths, notes, and receipt photos — is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no tracking. We receive none of this data, and it is never transmitted to us or to any advertiser or data broker. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Permissions
- Camera — to photograph receipts when you add an item.
- Notifications — expiry reminders (30, 7, and 1 day before a warranty ends) are generated locally on your device; no server is involved.
Purchases
The optional one-time unlock is processed by Google Play. Our purchase provider, RevenueCat, receives purchase and receipt information so the app can verify and restore your unlock. RevenueCat does not receive any of your warranty items, receipt photos, or purchase history — that data never leaves your phone.
Support emails
If you email us for help, we receive your email address and message contents. We use them only to respond, and you may ask us to delete the correspondence at any time.
What we never do
- We never sell personal information (we don't have yours to sell).
- No advertising and no third-party trackers.
- No data is collected from children or anyone else — the app collects nothing.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
